At a WAC seminar on Parenting
Skills, many participants asked for additional resources on this
topic. One that we have found is ParentTalk which is available
on the Web. First, our disclaimer -- The WAC does not endorse
any products or services advertised on or available from the linked
Web site -- parents-talk.com.
Below is a description
of this Web resource and a link to the site. So read on

Dear KidsCom Parents
-
We've got a surprise for you. The Parents & Teachers Place on
KidsCom that you've come to rely on for information and entertainment
has now grown into its own site called ParentsTalk, an online magazine
for everyday parents with everyday challenges. We invite you to
check it out (http://www.parents-talk.com).
ParentsTalk is a place that strives to make being a parent a little
easier. A place to find and share information and advice for
families from a parent's perspective. And a place where we can have
a little fun, 'cause after all, kids aren't the only ones who like
to play!
The site features personal
stories and tips from parents around the world about everyday
family life. Plus, "Today" show contributor Dr. Sylvia Rimm
provides parenting advice and we still have tech tips for those
who are technologically challenged, online safety tips for families,
great recipes, travel tidbits and loads of other helpful information.
We'll be updating our content regularly so be sure to check back
often to see what's new and to add your own wisdom and experiences.
Each week we'll feature a new What My Kid Did Story of the Week,
Travel Tip, Tip for the Technologically Challenged and Question
of the Week answered by Dr. Sylvia Rimm. And of course, we're
looking forward to receiving personal stories, advice and pictures
from you, because that's what makes ParentsTalk so unique. ParentsTalk
is about real people with real-life parenting experiences.
You can still find
us off of the KidsCom home page under Parents &Teachers, or
you can get there directly by going to http://www.parents-talk.com.
Be sure to stop by and sign-in so you can fully experience what
ParentsTalk is all about. And don't forget to send in those stories
or pictures. We look forward to sharing the parenting experience
with you - because no matter how old your kids are you're always
a parent.
