Burrito Ride!

Free Burritos and a fun bike ride – how can a Friday lunch hour get any better?  Boulder B-cycle is sponsoring two Chipotle Burrito Rides for UCAR B-cycle card holders!

CG folks got their free burritos on Friday, September 16th.  B-cycle had a table on the CG1 patio to register memberships for those who didn’t have one yet.  Then the group, pictured above, headed out to ride to Chipotle at the 29th Street Mall for a free burrito lunch!

FL riders, you get your turn on Friday, September 23rd.  B-cycle will be in the FL2 cafeteria at 11:00 a.m. to sign up folks without memberships and then we’ll meet at the red B-cycle bike rack near the Anthes Building at 11:30 a.m. to ride over to the 29th Street Mall Chipotle.

There is a limit of 12 riders so e-mail your RSVP to Kay Gazaway today!

Bike-Friendly Businesses

Good news! UCAR/NCAR has been recognized as one of five Platinum-level Bike Friendly Businesses in Boulder by GO Boulder and Community Cycles. As you know, we offer a lot of amenities for bicycling: bike parking near every building that includes covered parking when possible; showers; casual dress; our Blue Bike fleet; EcoPasses that support bus-bike commuting; our annual Bike to Work Day team; staff support to encourage bicycling; and more. Many of these initiatives were initially driven by motivated employees like you.

We're proud to have earned this honor, and we continue to look for more ways to support employee and visitor bicycling.
