There will be times when you will be asked to “Shelter in Place.” Sheltering in place means just what it sounds like and usually indicates that there is a possible danger to personnel that exist outside the building. These may include weather related phenomena such as a tornado; sever storms or flooding that make it treacherous venture outdoors. Other reasons could be civil unrest or a regional disaster. If a shelter in place order is given appropriate instructions will be relayed to all staff and visitors by phone, e-mail and direct contact. |
