Receiving

All UPS, heavy freight, and air freight shipments are routed to, received, and distributed from the Mesa Lab regardless of which UCAR/NCAR/UOP Facility is listed on the address label. FedEx documents, UPS overnight, and 2nd day air will be accepted at the specific sites listed on the address label.

Every attempt will be made to deliver parcels the same day as they are received! Delivery is generally made in the afternoon, except documents shipped by express couriers which are delivered ASAP. If you need an item sooner, call our staff to arrange special delivery.

ALL parcels (business and personal) are inspected by our staff for damage, quantity checks. Note: a final count and inspection should be performed by the recipient, as certain items such as electronics, are difficult to identify.

Merchandise without PO's or BPO's, and /or RMA numbers may be delayed until the parcel can be identified. To expedite processing, please urge vendors to include such critical information ( also name of end user) on package labels and packing slips.

All parcels received require a written signature from the recipient in order to be delivered and verified.

Personal shipments that are received by our staff must have the name of the recipient clearly labeled on the outside of the package. If you do not wish to have the package opened and inspected, please inform the shipper to mark "personal" on the label. We receive packages from a large number of vendors and it is not always apparent which are personal and which are not. Please note that we do not accept liability for damage to personal shipments. Claims for personal shipments are the responsibility of the recipient and shipper.
