Shelter in Place

There will be times when you will be asked to “Shelter in Place.” Sheltering in place means just what it sounds like and usually indicates that there is a possible danger to personnel that exist outside the building. These may include weather related phenomena such as a tornado; sever storms or flooding that make it treacherous venture outdoors. Other reasons could be civil unrest or a regional disaster. If a shelter in place order is given appropriate instructions will be relayed to all staff and visitors by phone, e-mail and direct contact.
