JANUARY 2009 MEETING –The January 2009 meeting will be Thursday, the 29th, 9:30-10:30 a.m., site to be determined later.
KPMG AUDIT – We are preparing for the final portion of the KPMG audit and may be contact you for information, backup or to schedule an inventory of the selections made by the auditors.
THEFT REPORTING – When a possible theft is discovered it’s important to report this immediately. We have procedures on our Web site on how to report a theft.
In case of theft, immediately notify Steve Sadler and Betsy Hulsing.
We are responsible for equipment and must take measures to safeguard that equipment, however, if a theft does occur we are then responsible to report it in a timely manner.
DISPOSAL PROCESS – We have procedures set in place that explain how to process a disposal. Our written procedures are compared to our actual process during the audit. The auditors are looking to see that we have followed our own guidelines. Only completed and authorized requests will actually appear on the next disposal batch.
LOAN REMINDER – We have loan procedures on our Web site. Just a reminder that equipment must not be loaned until AFTER the form has been correctly filled out and signed by all parties, including the Property Office.
INVENTORY UPDATE – We have three divisions currently finishing up their inventory.
SENSITIVE PROPERTY – FYI we have begun full inventories of all Sensitive Property. Master Lists – Many of the divisions have been sending in their sensitive property lists, and Chris is converting them into a list that is comparable to the inventory Master List. This will help the divisions out when it comes to doing their sensitive property inventories. Chris will be scheduling the sensitive property inventories within the next few weeks. We will begin with a few divisions for now, then complete the cycle by next May. You can request a Master List from Chris and he will send one to you for any corrections you need to make before we get started. We will begin these inventories again in January through May 2009.
