The Physical Plant Services Maintenance and Construction Department is responsible for the care and upkeep of UCAR’s largest asset, its physical plant, consisting of 13 major buildings totaling almost three-quarters of a million square feet of occupied space, on more than 500 acres of grounds in Boulder and Jefferson Counties. The Maintenance Team consists of mechanics, electricians, carpenters, painters, grounds maintenance, and an administrative staff dedicated to preserving an environment in which UCAR/NCAR staff may carry out the institution’s mission. One Phone Call Away - X 1120 To request maintenance activity or repair, simply call extension 1120. Maintenance requests may also be sent via e-mail (maintreq@ucar.edu). Upon completion of the maintenance activity, an e-mail summation will be sent to the requestor. Normal maintenance and emergency maintenance provisions are available 24 hours a day through the phone numbers listed below.
