UCAR's policy is to provide suitable space and utilities services for the conduct of its activities. UCAR allocates space through the application of approved space standards and by determination of special functional needs. UCAR conducts continual maintenance of its physical space and systems to minimize system failures and to maintain the proper working environment for UCAR employees. Further, UCAR performs modifications to its physical space in order to meet the current needs of the organization and its elements. 

Employees should direct requests for space and space modification to the Director of NCAR or UCP or the Vice-President for Finance and Administration, as appropriate. 

Questions regarding the interpretation of this policy should be directed to the Director of Physical Plant Services.
