Document Title:
Frost on conifer needles (DI01734)
Description:
Frost forms on the needles of a conifer. Frost is similar to dew, but it forms at temperatures below freezing. In frost, water vapor is transformed directly into ice crystals without ever taking the form of water droplets. Sublimation refers to the process by which water or some other substance goes from a gaseous to frozen phase (or vice versa) without passing through a liquid stage.
