NCAR HIGHLIGHTS
1. For NCAR, FY06 Regular NSF funding of $83,476,000 reflects the NCAR Final Program Plan with $1M Biocomplexity funds. The plan level consists of $75,475,000 base program funding and CSL funding of $7,331,000; $269,000 of the CSL funding is designated as NSF Core funds. FY05 carryover funds consist of $12,724,343 committed and $1,876,830 uncommitted but programmed carryover. Special NSF funds (excluding HIAPER funds) from ATM consist of $9,826,956 in FY05 carryover. New FY06 special and deployment funds from ATM are $14,243,634. (Reference the report “Direct Program Activity by Fund Source by Entity”.)
2. NCAR non-NSF funding that is received through the NSF Cooperative Agreement consists of FY05 carryover funds totaling $7,799,737. Of the amount received through the NSF Cooperative Agreement, FY06 expenditures and commitments total $12,662,710. New funds from outside contracts received directly by NCAR total $43,722,630.
