NCAR
1. For NCAR, FY03 Regular NSF funding of $76,742,500 reflects the NCAR Preliminary Program Plan; there is a one-time reduction of $148,939 for CGD funds transferred to Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute for PI, S. Doney. The plan level consists of $68,572,500 base program funding and CSL funding of $8,170,000; $438,000 of the CSL funding is designated as NSF Core funds. FY02 carryover funds consist of $20,670,467 committed and $1,044,181 uncommitted, but programmed carryover. Special NSF funds from ATM consist of $24,224,626 in FY02 carryover. New FY03 special funds from ATM are $14,552,759. (Reference the report “Direct Program Activity by Fund Source by Entity”.)
2. NCAR non-NSF funding that is received through the NSF Cooperative Agreement consists of FY02 carryover funds totaling $6,404,059. Of the amount received through the NSF Cooperative Agreement, FY03 expenditures and commitments total $10,995,658. New funds from outside contracts received directly by NCAR total $21,901,812. UOP
UOP NSF funded programs received $23,365414 through the NSF Cooperative Agreement Contract through 30 June 2003. This consisted of new funds in the amount of $10,641,276, plus carryover funds committed in the amount of $994,958 and carryover funds uncommitted but programmed of $11,729,170.
NSF Special Funding totaled $29,854 which is programmed but not yet committed.
UOP non-NSF funding received through the cooperative agreement totaled $9,481,839. $1,754,850 was new funds, $113,919 committed carryover, and $7,612,070 funds that are programmed but not yet committed.
UOP non-NSF funding received by direct contract totaled $27,932,728.
