Grants.gov
Speaker: Ron Splittgerber
The Federal Financial Assistance Management Improvement Act of 1999 (Public Law 106-107) together with the President's Management Agenda require Federal agencies to simplify Federal financial assistance application requirements and create a single website to find opportunities and apply for Federal assistance. Grants.gov has been designated by the Office of Management and Budget as the single access point for all grant programs offered by 26 Federal agencies.
Grants.gov allows organizations to electronically find and apply for competitive grant opportunities from Federal grant-making agencies. However, this new resource presents a challenge for both the applicants and the Federal agencies. All research opportunities must be reconfigured to use a standard from (SF 424 R&R) by the agencies, and those of us wishing to apply for funding must learn a new process.
Join us as we discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by the Grants.gov process including the required PureEdge software, the timeline moving from PureEdge to Adobe Acrobat format, and the 'System to System' methods of submitting applications.
