Sarah Pritchard
Associate General Counsel
University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR)
Sarah Pritchard came to the Office of General Counsel at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) in 2005, after working for more than six years as in-house counsel in the pharmaceutical industry. Sarah's experience counseling chemists regarding the laws and regulations applicable to clinical trials, pharmaceutical research and development, intellectual property licensing, employment law and international contracts made her transition from the pharmaceutical industry to our federally funded atmospheric research facility a smooth one.
Sarah attended the University of Virginia as an undergraduate. She received her JD from the University of Colorado in 1993. Prior to her experience in-house within the pharmaceutical industry, Sarah served as clerk to Justice Lohr at the Colorado Supreme Court, then as counsel to several international software/hardware finance companies where her duties included international contracting, software and other IP licensing, equipment finance, and bankruptcy counseling to creditors.
Sarah enjoys the variety inherent in her job here at UCAR. The opportunity to get involved in "all aspects of the business" make her job challenging and rewarding.
