Courtney France
Courtney France, EIT, LEED AP, is the former Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Coordination Services Team Leader for Architectural Energy Corporation in Boulder, CO. While at AEC she worked on more than 200 projects around the world applying the US Green Building Council’s LEED rating system, from project inception to owner occupancy.
Now part of her own sustainable development consulting firm, France Sustainable Solutions, Courtney consults nationally with owners, developers, contractors, and design firms to share her LEED project application experience.
Courtney has conducted LEED AP Training for over 2,000 individuals, representing more than 150 firms from various sectors of the building industry. In addition, Ms. France is a contributing author to numerous green building publications, including the State of Colorado, California, and New Mexico regional LEED user-guides, multiple green building journals and periodicals, as well as the local monthly USGBC Colorado Chapter newsletter.
Courtney has also shared her LEED application experiences through a variety of venues, including guest speaker and panelist for ASHRAE, AIA-DBIA, AIA COTE (Committee on the Environment), DOE (Department of Energy), CSI (Construction Specifications Institute), NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties), and multiple trade association conferences.
Prior to sustainable consulting, Courtney worked with general contractor DPR Construction on the west coast and in Denver and is a graduate from Purdue University’s Construction Engineering and Management program.
