Ardoth Hassler
Associate Vice President for University Information Services Georgetown University
Ardoth Hassler is Associate Vice President for University Information Services at Georgetown University. For calendar years 2007 through 2011, she is on loan to the National Science Foundation as a Senior Information Technology Advisor, working in the Office of the Chief Information Officer and Division of Information Systems on IT policy, privacy issues and cyber security. In this role, she serves on FACSEC, NSF’s Large Facilities Security Working Group. At Georgetown, she serves as deputy CIO and heads the Office of Information Services. She oversees research computing, technology policy, planning and information security.
Ms. Hassler has been at GU since 1995, first serving as CIO for the Main Campus. Previously, she was at The Catholic University of America. She holds an MS in Biostatistics and a BS in Mathematics. Active in professional organizations, she has served as a member and secretary of the Seminars on Academic Computing (SAC) Coordinating Board, SAC program chair, EDUCOM program chair, chaired the EDUCAUSE Recognition Committee and the CAUSE Nomination and Elections Committee. She maintains memberships in the Association for Computing Machinery and the American Statistical Association. Her entire career has been in higher education information technology.
