Training

Information Technology (IT) offers a variety of training sessions for the Integrated Financial and Administrative Solution (IFAS or Bi-Tech), Data Warehouse on the Web--ART, and various Web applications such as Timecard and Signature Authority.

IT Training Session Descriptions

Description:

Bi-Tech Basics Bi-Tech Basics training covers basic information on the Bi-Tech financial and accounting system used at UCAR. The session will cover an overview of Bi-Tech, Inc., menu structure and navigation, printing, report viewer, special reporting and much more.
Bi-Tech Report Viewer Training Report Viewer training covers basic information on the report viewer interface for viewing reports such as the Budget by Division report and the Budget Summary Report 19 (BSR, SR19)
ART ART training covers basic information on how to use the ePortfolio user interface for working with business and administrative reports through Crystal Enterprise. This training is offered on a 1-on-1 basis, and with prior arrangement may be presented to small groups.
Web Applications  
Timecard General User Training This training session introduces you to the Web-based time card application. During the training you will learn how to enter time on your time card, submit your time card, approve time cards that someone else submitted for your and look at your historical time cards.
Timecard Supervisor / Agent Training This training session introduces supervisors and their agents on how to submit and approve time cards of others as well as how to submit their own time cards.
Signature Authority General User Training This training session introduces you to the Web-based signature authority application. During the training you will learn how to search, create, route, approve, and expire authorities. In addition, time will be spent on signature authority reporting.
Signature Authority Administrator Training

This training session introduces divisional Signature Authority Administrators to overall use of the signature authority application as well as the detailed business rules of the system.

Advance Notice Training This training session introduces you to the advance notice Web application in which you can record and maintain all proposal information for use by UCAR and for compliance with the National Science Foundation cooperative agreement.
Online Travel Training This training session introduces you to the online travel Web application in which you record and maintain travel information for use by UCAR staff.
