Skills/Learning ExchangeThe Skills/Learning Exchange is a database of employees who want to share experiences, skills, knowledge and resources with other staff members. The Exchange is a dynamic, interactive site offering a very wide range of information and resources. It serves as a learning tool for new staff as well as a resource for current employees, supervisors and managers. Awards DatabaseThe UCAR Awards Database is a database-driven web application that serves as a means for maintaining and reporting on awards received by all UCAR employees. The UCAR Awards Database supports divisions in their efforts to increase award nominations and recipients across all of UCAR, provides a centralized mechanism for tracking historical external award information, uses the reporting function to demonstrate national and international recognition of our employees in their field(s) of excellence, and gives the ability to respond to the NSF review panel report before the next competitive agreement period (2006). HR Open Positions Web SiteThe HR Open Positions Web site is a complete list of all open positions at UCAR, NCAR and UCP. This site is accessible to all employees as well as others outside the organization. Employee Charitable ContributionsThe Employee Charitable Contributions application gives employees an easy mechanism to make charitable contributions to United Way, Community Shares, Friends of UCAR or other organizations of their choice. Employees can choose for these contributions to be made through a payroll deduction as a one time contribution or a per pay period contribution. Smart ChoicesThe Smart Choices application is the site that employees access for the annual enrollment for medical and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, and health savings accounts. During the enrollment period employees may change their medical insurance plan, add or delete dependents, enroll in a health insurance plan, enroll in a spending account, and enroll in a health savings account, as needed.
