WHO IS YOUR HR GENERALIST/HR MANAGER?

HR introduced a new two-tier service delivery model in an approach intended to provide streamlined services to our labs and programs. Employment will now be part of the two-tier HR model and will be handled by HR Generalists. Tier 1 HR Generalists Konnie Carrillo and Nancy Wade will be your first point of contact in the following areas: employment activities (including OpenHire tasks, recruitment advertising, resume review and hiring processes), position description review and reclassifications, exit interviews and routine policy questions.

Tier 2 HR Managers Delaine Orendorff and Michelle Darveau will focus on strategic initiatives such as organizational development, employee engagement, HR risk assessments, succession planning, workforce and succession management, team and manager coaching, facilitations and mediations, policy development, and managing the employee relations process.

Delaine will continue to manage Compensation & Performance Management and Michelle will continue to manage Employee and Organizational Development across the entire organization.

Tier 1 HR Generalists will partner with Cyd Perrone, UCAR Benefits Administrator, ext. 8710 on issues such as leaves of absence (LTD, FMLA, salary continuation) and other benefit related issues. You can contact either Cyd at x8710 or your HR Generalist if you have questions related to these areas.
