UCAR Supervisor Certificate Program

UCAR's Supervisor Certificate Program is part of a suite of UCAR Leadership Development Programs that includes the Leadership Academy (L/A) and Executive Leadership Program (ELP). The Supervisor Certificate Program is a self-paced learning program designed to acquaint entry level supervisors/managers with the basic principles of supervision and present practical skills, tools, strategies, and resources for dealing with common interactions, projects, tasks and problems at work.

Who Should Consider This Program: Entry-level supervisors/managers, or anyone wishing to enhance or refresh their supervisory skills.

Requirements: Completion of all required courses, plus four elective courses outlined in the curriculum list. A Certificate of Completion once requirements are met.

Self-Paced Timeframe: A two (2) year timeframe is recommended to complete the program. Participants are responsible for enrolling in the program, completing the recommended number of sessions, and monitoring progress.

Variety of Learning Formats: Core and elective curriculum classes available in instructor-led and online/anytime learning formats.

Customized Curriculum Courses: The customized curriculum aligns with UCAR's Key Management Competency areas: Organizational Knowledge, Personal Effectiveness, Communication, and Leading & Managing People. Instructor-Led Classes via EOD Training Catalog: To register for instructor-led classes, visit EOD's Training Catalog via Connect: https://www.fin.ucar.edu/hrisConnect/employee. Course schedules vary. To review all your completed EOD classes, visit your Employee Transcripts via UCAR's Connect site- Employee Transcripts. (UCAS login>Training & Development Tab>Search by class title>Details>Scroll to top of screen and Enroll in desired session)

Online Classes via UCAR-Skillsoft Catalog: To access online/anytime courses, visit UCAR's Skillsoft Portal: http://ucar.skillport.com/ and log in using your Skillport login credentials. (User ID: Your UCAR email address; Password: Access/retrieval on the site)
