| Title: | Production of near real time ionospheric foF2 maps and HF prediction services |
| Abstract: |
IPS acts as the Australian Space Weather Agency, providing the Australian national and radio propagation and space weather services. One of the benefits of real time measurement and mapping of the ionosphere is to increase the availability of HF communication to IPS customers, particularly during storm conditions, when the frequency of support for HF communication can be very different from what is normally used. This poster paper describes the method currently used at IPS to produce real time maps of the ionospheric foF2 parameter. HF prediction services from these real time maps are also described. |
