| Abstract: | A simple one dimensional charging model is used to show how materials with long electrical time constants react to the dynamic electrical flux in GEO. It becomes apparent that the critical parameter is the total fluence or charge density accumulated over several time constants. This leads to a process of exponentially accumulating and averaging the external electron flux to derive a worst-case time integrated fluence and equivalent time averaged flux. |
